Sara Fernandes

Born in Guimarães, in 1990. She graduated in Artistic Studies from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of University of Coimbra, in 2011. She completed the Pedagogical Aptitude training course, at Cenatex II, in 2012. Between 2012 and 2013, she worked at a national and international level in the areas of content writing and translation. In 2017 she completed the Black and White Photography Course at Cineclube de Guimarães. She obtained an Honorable Mention, in 2017, in the first edition of the “Guimarães: Photographic Expedition” competition, an initiative of Sociedade Martins Sarmento. In 2019 and 2022, in the following editions of the competition, she was awarded with the 2nd and 3rd place prizes, respectively. She exhibited her photographic work at Cineclube de Guimarães, Sociedade Martins Sarmento Museum, Museum Nogueira da Silva and Casa Municipal da Cultura Jorge Antunes. She participated in the 2019 edition of Guimarães noc-noc, with the art installation “Quarta Parede”, displayed at Cineclube de Guimarães. She has been working as producer, mediator, and project manager at ondamarela since 2018.
