urban re-interpretation program
We will work with a city, town or other municipality to design a cultural program which reflects, examines and celebrates the specific characteristics of a place. This is a work which promotes cultural and social cross fertilisation and transformation through an exploration of, and an investigation into history, arts and people.
The work is always preceded by a reading of the physical and social context followed by a reflection into the various strategies and approaches relevant to the objectives of the program.
The final program may involve activities as diverse as fiction, interpretation, documentation and direct action. Drawing together strands of cultural such as heritage, food, urbanism and architecture, history, design, music, theatre, photography or cinema, we implement actions that reinterpret the place and leave a sense of legacy in the place in in the participants.
This program is multidisciplinary, with talks, concerts, routes/walks, performances, projections, cinema, expositions, workshops, meals, conversations, dialogues and discussion.
