Consultant and project advisor of Guimarães candidacy to European Capital of Culture (2008). Advisor of the Project Director (2009-2011) and Marketing & Incoming manager (2012-2013) in Guimarães 2012 European Capital of Culture. Company consultant at Opium, in projects that involve art, tourism, people and places, such as "Tourist Development of Aldeias Vinhateiras do Douro" (2006-2007), "Management Plan of the Historic Centre of Oporto World Heritage" (2007-2008) and "Application form of Guimarães European Capital of Culture in 2012 "(2008). Researcher on different themes of Cultural Heritage in the North of Portugal (2004-2008).
Project manager at A Oficina- Arts Centre of Guimarães, CIPRL (2013-2015). Conceived and coordinated "West Way Lab 2014 – Guimarães" and "Espigulhar" – urban reinterpretation programme – Porto, 2015. Production director of “Contextile” – Contemporary textile art biennial – Guimarães (2016).
Conceived and coordinates “Orquestra Fervença” – Bragança (2015-2016). Degree in Art, specializing in Conservative Museums and Historic Buildings, Post Graduated in Management of Cultural Heritage, in the School of Arts of the Portuguese Catholic University.
Ricardo Baptista
Porto, 1978
Musician with a speciality in devising and developing work with diverse communities, co-founder of ondamarela. Leader/Facilitator in Casa da Música Educative projects: “Ritmos da Cidade”, “Orquestra do Dia - Dia Mundial da Música”, “Sonópolis”, "Orquestra de Famílias Reais". Leader, artistic and pedagogic director of the Casa da Música courses/performances “Vinte mil músicas submarinas” (2012) and “Rometa e Julieu” (2016). Currently is part of Digitopia’s workshops team. Keys & winds team leader on the huge orchestra “Stopestra”. Conceived and led the “musical exploration workshops” on École de Musique de la Ville d'Echternach, Luxembourg, (2010 and 2013). Conceived and was the artistic director of “GuimarãesPlay" of Guimarães2012 - European Capital of Culture, the main non-formal music program, with communities. Conceived and/or coordinated large scale city wide music events with communities such as “Operação BigBang” and “Operação Oliveira” in Guimarães, “Community Concert” in Braga, “Real Orquestra da Grande Malha Ortogonal de Espinho” (2013 and 2014), “Retimbrar and communities” - Espinho, “Ovar’s Carnival Opening” (2015, 2016), “Orquestra da Bida Airada” – Ílhavo (2014-2016). Conceived and coordinates the interdisciplinary ongoing project “Orquestra Fervença” in Bragança. Was one of the artists in residence in West Way Lab 2014 – Guimarães, and composed and performed the music for the project “Smoke Signals”, by Glen Calleja. Won the 2015 Literary Prize “Maria Rosa Colaço”. Is part of the artistic team that conceived and coordinated the traditional based portuguese singing+electronics project “Outros Cantos” for GNRation, Braga, 2015 and 2016.
