philarmonic orchestra of the ear
This is a project thought to formal music teaching institutions such as schools or conservatoires. We propose to compose, rehearse and perform music created specifically to the event, training skills such as improvising, extended techniques, ear training, sense of the ensemble, composition and performance.
to provide the participants with a different and stimulating musical experience, recapturing the basic ideas of music making as a medium for social ad civic action;
to encourage improvisation and creativity when it comes to composition, interpretation or collective performance;
to compose and rehearse music in a ludic and non-formal way, being rigorous and dense at the same time, and focusing mostly on "by-ear" work;
to extend instruments potential and the exploration of the diversity of sonic qualities of such an ensemble;
to develop a musical identity felt by the participants as authentic and genuine;
to promote the relations between musicians of different ages, skills and backgrounds;
to present an unique and unrepeatable work of art on the final performance;
